wow, it's been a while...

I've been ruminating...

We need to support our teachers..

As

parents who appreciate good teachers, we need to show our support!
I received this information this morning after dropping my daughter off at school.

Good information since the teachers hands have been tied and it's been difficult for the them to tell their side of the story.

I certainly don't claim to know all the answers, but I do know that I love our teachers and the quality of education that my children have been given this far...

I Went for a bike ride Sunday morning (in the rain) and ran over some salt packets that had been thrown in the gutter...it made me think of this...

Matthew 5:13 "You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it useful again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

Okay, I'm stumped.
All around me marriages seem to be falling apart at the seams.
Just today, I called a neighbor to ask for something (instead of going to the grocery store) and was told the heart breaking news that another neighbor's husband has left his wife.
sigh...
I don't know these neighbors well, she comes to my cookie party every year at Christmas and we all have a good time, but that's about it.
Yet, my heart is broken and aching for this young couple with a young child, I can hardly hold back the tears as I'm writing this... so many marriages are breaking up.
Young marriages, Christian marriages, secular marriages, 25+ years marriages...

What's the deal??
