fighting the tears...

Okay, I'm stumped.
All around me marriages seem to be falling apart at the seams.
Just today, I called a neighbor to ask for something (instead of going to the grocery store) and was told the heart breaking news that another neighbor's husband has left his wife.
sigh...
I don't know these neighbors well, she comes to my cookie party every year at Christmas and we all have a good time, but that's about it.
Yet, my heart is broken and aching for this young couple with a young child, I can hardly hold back the tears as I'm writing this... so many marriages are breaking up.
Young marriages, Christian marriages, secular marriages, 25+ years marriages...

What's the deal??
